Applications Support Analyst

About the role:

The Application Support Analyst will be key member of the Sage IT team.  They will provide support, administration and configuration of key Sage business applications (ERP, Document Management, CRM, Customer Portal, etc) and be responsible for contributing ongoing to the Business As Usual and Roadmap change programs. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide 1st and 2nd line support and change management capability for key operational business applications. This role may also support some training, deployment, testing, and project administration tasks.

This position works with business operations teams and IT resources, other third-party consultants, and vendors.  Client-side resources can include: Stakeholders, Product Owners, Subject Matter Experts, and Technology Architects.

The winning candidate will be passionate, committed, organized, and a fast learner, while at the same time being adaptable, coachable, and open to new approaches to technology solution projects.

The primary responsibilities of this position are:

  • Provide administration services on approved request to key business applications
  • Provide configuration services on approved request to key business applications
  • Provide general support / issue resolution to key business applications
  • Provide training to users on key business applications
  • Track all activity in the appropriate issue tracking software system
  • Summarize and report on status of tracked issues
  • Perform duties as assigned by their line manager or Head of IT

 

 

About you:

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Most important:

  • ERP support experience (Aareon QL preferrable)
  • CRM support experience (MS Dynamics)
  • DMS support experience (MS Sharepoint)
  • PowerBI report writing experience
  • End user training experience
  • Excel support experience to VBA level
  • SQL query writing skills
  • MS SQL server management experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint

 Important:

  • Writing training documentation
  • Experience with information technology migrations and integrations
  • Experience in full life cycle of complex software deployment projects
  • Capture bugs and enhancements requests
  • Experience with Jira/Confluence or similar

Desirable, but not required:

  • Change Management experience
