Senior FP&A Analyst (Modelling)

About the role:


As part of a fast-growing business and team, the applicant has the opportunity to be pivotal in improving the analysis capability of Sage, and work closely with C-level leadership and Sage’s investors.

As the Planning & Performance model analyst your primary role is to build and maintain the financial models for planning and analysing Sage’s business.  You will need to be able to plan and design the models to have the flexibility to review different scenarios as well as be accurate to stand up to both Investor and Regulator scrutiny.

The role will help drive the investment and funding choices that Sage will make over the coming years and hence will gain exposure to both the current investors and future sources of financing.  This is a rare opportunity to grow experience of both.

The role will interact with key stakeholders both within and outside the company.  The role will provide analysis and reporting to help them manage their part of the company or help the investors understand their investment.


Key duties include:


  • Plan and redesign the core 5 year financial model
  • Extend the model to 30 years for stress testing review using BRIXX
  • Analysing company performance (both financial and operational) to spot opportunities and issues
  • Partner closely with the business to ensure model validity
  • Responding to ad hoc information requests from both internal and investor stakeholders
  • Helping run the budgeting and forecasting cycle
  • Relaying findings and analysis to leadership and investors


About you:


Qualifications & Experience

  • Significant model building experience
  • Preferably experience of using BRIXX but not essential (external training will be supplied)
  • Preferably numeric degree or post-degree education


  • Financial reporting and analysis
  • Strong excel skills
