Temporary Assistant Accountant - 3 months

About the role:

We are currently seeking to appoint an Assistant Accountant to join our busy accounts team, in Central London, focussing on accounts payable, servicing the financial information needs of colleagues around the business and assisting the management accountant when required.

 

Key duties include: 

  • Assisting with the validation and preparation of invoices with internal and external parties
  • Assisting with the preparation of weekly payment runs
  • Providing financial information and analysis to the rest of the business
  • Operating and ensuring adherence to the financial controls of the business
  • Reconciling ledger accounts and maintaining account balances
  • Recording and allocating transactions in the accounting software

 

About you: 

  • Experienced in purchase ledger, posting invoices, payments and preparing reconciliations
  • Experienced in posting bank transactions and reconciling the bank accounts
  • Experience of analysing and handling high volumes of transactions
  • Preparing and formatting ad hoc reports and analysis on request
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient at Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and support other areas

 

Qualifications

  • AAT qualified or
  • Part-qualified CIMA / ACCA or equivalent
