Bravo to our brilliant Bridget

The limelight was on our very own Bridget Frisby when she was in the running for Professional of the Year in CIH’s Women in Housing Awards.

The awards were the curtain raiser to Housing 2023, the industry’s three-day flagship event run by the Chartered Institute of Housing. Thousands of housing professionals gathered in Manchester to hear from industry leaders, including our CEO Mark Sater who spoke about the role of private equity in providing more affordable housing.

The traditional curtain-raiser to this conference is the Women in Housing / Housing Heroes Awards the night before, where Bridget was a finalist in the category of Professional of the Year for helping to spearhead Sage Homes’ growth as a business. Highlights of Bridget’s time at Sage Homes so far include:

  • Being instrumental in raising a £280 million bond for affordable housing that led to Sage Homes becoming England’s largest provider of new affordable homes in 2022
  • Finalising over £3bn of new homes acquisitions since the company was formed
  • Helping Sage Homes to achieve Strategic Partner status with Homes England - enabling us to commit to delivering an extra 1,750 grant-funded affordable homes.

Mark Sater, CEO of Sage Homes, said: “Bridget is central to what Sage Homes does every day. She was involved in the business’s creation, was one of our first employees, and she’s played a major role in our success and growth. Although Bridget didn’t win the award in the end, it’s important we celebrate the people that make our business what it is.”
