Supporting our customers

Later this year, Sage Homes will be increasing the number of customers that it supports directly though the delivery of housing management.

This is part of our wider plans to further enhance the direct support we give to our customers through our new Customer Centre in Northampton.

Our contract with Places for People (PfP) has been in place since we began at the end of 2017. Following consultation with customers, the first homes will transfer to Sage Homes’ management in the autumn and the remaining homes are due to transfer by the end of the year.

As England’s largest provider of newly built affordable homes and as our business continues to grow, taking over responsibility for the management of more of our homes will allow us to get even closer to our c. 6,000-rental customers and engage with them directly.

Keith Shields, Managing Director – Property & Services, said: “We have already successfully started to directly manage a proportion of our homes and will continue to work closely with our valued partners at Places for People to ensure there is minimal disruption and a smooth transition for our remaining customers over the coming months.”

Sage Homes is England’s largest provider of newly built affordable homes for the past two years running, with nearly 12,000 completed homes and with a target to increase that number to 30,000 by 2030.
